and it’s still going strong today.
The Italian Connection
We were established in 1949 at Houndsfield Lane by two Italians, the Pettruzzo brothers. The brothers who were prisoners of war who were housed at the nearby Chateau Impney. Together with an Englishman, Dennis Armstrong-Sly, Anglo Italian was born. There are so many great stories from the 1950’s and 60’s about Dennis and the family and I’m still telling them today!
Originally the company produced terrazzo floors and over the years these floors were supplied and fitted in banks, hospitals and supermarkets all over the country, we even fitted the original Bull Ring shopping centre in the 1970s! The production methods were shared between the family members and handed down from father to son.
Those family values have carried on to this day as the company has upgraded premises and expanded into bathrooms and kitchens.
